Added a new link to the blog lists ont he right: http://www.isfullofcrap.com/
This Houstonian is twisted and funny.

You may have see this type of list before, usually called “1001 Things to Do or Places to See Before I Die”. Well I wanted to do something like that, but at a more managable level of 101. And I wanted it to be realistic. Sure I could put something like Travel In Space or Spearfish a Great White, but I know that would never happen. These items on my list are possible, heck even probable. As is the case with most of my lists, these are in no particular order. And just to make it cleaner for the general public, nothing to do with sex is included (that rounds out the other 900 entries in the 1001 list version). So here goes (this will be filled in more later, or as I think of them):

Note: I keep editing this as stuff happens.
As you can see, I’ve moved the blog to the front page of the site. I still have alot of things to do here though, like add the permalinks to the header (photo pages, etc) and actually make a nice header.
Edit: Actually I am trying to get the horizontal menu working at the top there. (done) I am having problems with the server accepting file uploads (yet I can edit this online, weird).
So it might see wonky for awhile.
Also noticing other problems: Entry Time issues, and I might get rid of the image changer in the header (done) and replace it with a permanant one (not done yet).
Edit 3: The 1and1 server is acting really weird and I am having trouble uploading files. So the formatting of this page is going on and off until it clears up.

Everyone should know what gmail is (google’s free email with 1 gig of storage and a threaded emails).
Right now they don’t let anyone just get one, you have to be “invited”. Well I have about 7 invitations to give out if anyone wants one. Just email me at steelsun@gmail.com and tell me who you are and that you saw this on my blog. If I know you, I’ll give ya one.

Aaron has made quite a speech and I have to say I agree with him near 100%.
Kerry is Scarey!
He tries to appease everyone, and thus accomplishes nothing. And his record in the Senate is atrocious. Be afraid, be very afraid, if he is elected.
Not that I think Bush is the best person to be President (I’d rather have McCain or Ventura in the White House), but he’s alot better than Flipper the Weak-Kneed.
(This endorsement brought to you by the Army Medic Vets to Not Elect Kerry)

I have not been paying much attention to the site lately - work overload. Sometimes that happens.
We’ll go weeks with just enough work to keep us from falling asleep, then WHAM!
Wednesday: got 5 Background Checks in at the same time. (These take about 1 1/2 - 2 hours minimum to do each).
Thursday: got another 5, cool, that means it’s a good week for billing. Then a client gave us an 8-12 hour courthouse research job. Cool, maybe I’ll do it Friday and Monday while I await results on the backgrounds.
Today/Friday: Same client that has been giving us the 5 BGs a day just sent us 10 more, and a notice that we will get another 10 on Monday. Urgh, swamped. Courthouse work (not time sensitive like the BGS are) pushed to Wednesday of next week as the earliest.

Found a nice free Photoshop (or compatable) plugin that simulates film effects here: optikvervelabs.com
Be sure to download all the free extras also (wish they had them as one huge set for this though)

I have the preliminary of the Sun Stock Photo site up and running at sunstockphoto.com
I did most of the work during the DC trip downtime (flights, airport waits, etc), but need to flush out the back end (portfolio) and add a contact form. For now I’ll use a simple Paypal submission or mailed check/moneyorder/cash as payment options.

Well, we’re back.
Obviously I did not post while we were gone, since the hotel really tried to pound you on net access ($20 for 24 hours - but it also gave you free long distance and local calls - but since I had a cell, did not need that). I tried finding a free wireless hotspot, but none were available from the hotel room, and the one I got at the National Cathedral was locked tight. Seems there is a free public one on the steps of the Supreme Court, but I never got to that part of town.
Well, an update is in order. We spent most of our time at the National Cathedral, Dawn ringing bells and attending classes, me taking photos. I estimate an easy 300-400 of the Cathedral itself. Once I tone them down to a reasonable number, I’ll post them on Zoto.
The bell tower of the Cathedral was pretty cool. Being who we are, we got access to parts of the building 99.9% of all visitors never see. I spent many hours outside on the upper balcony of the tower taking shot with my camera or with the camera digiscoped. Awesome. Also did quite a few gargoyle shots and stained glass window images. Due to security and post 9-11 concerns now, even the observation deck and balconies are closed to the public. Shame.
