Websites of the Day - The Beginning

I was thinking of a new feature to add to the site, since I am awful about updating, so I figured I would post 1, 2, or maybe 3 interesting websites every day (or 2 or 3) for people to look at.

These may be funny sites, informative sites, weird sites, sites about something that interests me, photography, heck it might just be some obscure site I wanted to link to. 95% of these sites are probably not bookmarked on my computers, but I just found them somehow (my magazine readings, email, webboards, etc).

So here are today’s first few:

Pictures

I’ll be getting more Italy ones up soon.

The home computer has not been able to upload pics to the website for awhile (some ftp/port problems). Well that computer killed itself (windows errors) last week and I spent the weekend reinstalling windows and troubleshooting. It’s working half way now, so I may try to upload from there instead of at work like I usually do.

Taking a break from the computer yesterday, I decided to go on a photo safari / drive. I had heard rumours that Bald Eagles and some Caracaras have been spotted in Ft Bend county near the Brazos Bend State Park, so I drove out that way and spent a few hours driving down back roads in forgotten realms. Never did see an Eagle or Caracara, did see a few hawks and scissortails, and lots of cattle.

That brings along the following picture. As I was driving by a pasture I caught this out of the corner of my eye. I slammed on the brakes and hit reverse to get back to what I thought I saw, and yep: 3 cattle gossiping in the kitchen window.

I think I’ll title it “Hey Hazel, got a cup of milk I can borrow?”
