December

Wow the year flew by fast so far.

Updates:

Dawn did her first full peal yesterday - almost 3 hours of solid ringing in a convoluted mathematical sequence. Yipee! Another first time pealer from St Paul’s that did it with her was our friend Deb Adams. Congrats to both of you! It’s been a long time in the works, and now I forsee many more when they can.

Work - I am still enjoying the new job. I’ve done more “proposals” in the last 2 months than I have done in years, but that’s good. If we land even one of these bids it’ll help us grow even more. Also on Friday we mailed out our first response to an RFP. That response/preposal ended up being over 26 pages long and really structured. It took over 2 weeks to prepare (I worked on it for 2 days straight before T-giving, and others added to it since then).

And speaking of work, I left early today to take advantage of a new benefit I had been without for a long time - Health Insurance. The caugh/cold/whatever I had from before t-giving realy re-flared up Thursday and I haven’t been able to sleep more than 3 hours at a time since then. So today I hit my new Doctor’s at 1 for some treatment. While I was there he gave me a general check up also, based on family history and what he found when he was checking my lungs for the cough. Basically he ended up giving me an EKG because he felt that my heart beat was a bit irregular. The EKG also confirmed it. He said that the meds I had been taking (Theraflu) and the congestion might have had an effect, but he doesn’t think that’s it. So I am now wearing a heart monitor for the next 24 hours so they can record the day. He says it just seems mild, but it’s a just in case. For the cough, congestion, etc he diagnosed acute sinusitis and bronchitis with possible pneumonia. So I am on “no work” until wednesday and they drew blood (lucky I have great veins, they took a bit). I go in tomorrow to return the monitor and they will also take chest and sinus x-rays at that time to see if it is pneumonia. Yuk.

Oh, here’s a link for the game Settler’s of Catan that’s online: http://hoopes.hn.org/settlers/
So Tiffin and Satyr: Have fun.
