Well, Last Friday we went to the Humane Society to look over dogs for adoption. We found one, a reportedly lab/retriever female pup, that we both liked and put in the paperwork for her.
Today we revisited and played with her for about an hour. We also found out we were approved for the adoption and now just have to await them spading her and then contacting us for pickup.
We’ve decided to name her Teela (or maybe spell it Tila). We don’t really know why, it just came to us as we were playing with her and she responded well to it.
Here’s some pics from today:

News of the crew:
Christmas passed and is over. It was nice and quiet, and Dawn finally got through the busiest time of the year for her. We stayed in town this year (being new to my job, I didn’t have the vacation time to take our ‘normal’ trip to San Angelo & ALbuquerque). On Christmas day though, we went to Crockett and spent time with my dad at the ranch and returned Monday.
Dawn scored an XM radio set for xmas, it’s a great set that has a home/office kit, car kit, and can also be used by just carrying it (like a walkman). Also let’s you record up to 5 hours of programming for later or repeated listening.
New Years was a quiet affair, nothing much happened. New Years Day we spent at Chris & Lynda’s where we played games, watched some shows, and pigged out on Fajitas and French Toast.
