Here’s a pic of the “studio” I set up yesterday for last night’s party pictures.
The umbrella at the left is a reflector (silver with gold foil inserts) using a slave flash bulb.
The umbrella at right is a white pass through using the flash cord connected to the camera, dialed to about 3/8ths power.
Not shown is a shoe flash set to slave that has a Fong Dong on it with gold foil insert, placed on the floor at the base of the left (reflector) stand - used to fill in shadows under chins, brows, etc.

Here’s a pic that was taken last night with that set up:

Happy New Year Y’all!
Hope everyone had a great 2007 and will have an even better 2008.
My New Year Resolutions (all photo related, of course):
1) Post 2008 images in 2008 on here (also in a Flickr set)
2) Post a “Picture A Day” in 2008 (some may be the same as the 2008 above)
3) Install and use album software on this site
4) Get my e-commerce site fully working to sell more pics.
Upcoming events in 2008:
1) February 29th: Leap Day, i.e. the Day I took the Leap. I’ll be married to Dawn for 8 years on that day, but it will only be our second anniversary. Love Ya Dawn!
2) March: I turn 40, soon I’ll turn grey! Opps, too late.
3) May/June: 2 weeks in the Desert Southwest - Bryce, Zion, Arches National Parks. Yahoo
4) January - July: About 5 days each month in New Orleans for Work. Hopefully there will be some “play” time too.
5) January - March: One day a week trips to Seguin/San Antonio (work).
6) July: Possible long weekend in Colorado.
7) January/February: Long weekend in New Mexico.
8) Whenever: Camping - now that we have a pop-up tent trailer, we’ll be camping more.
