Okay - after the website crash I could not get my image uploaders to work right, nor the old album software.
So I got some new stuff installed.
The beginnings of the England & Scotland albums are here: http://uebelhart.net/photos/
(There are just a few images, usually just 1, in each “album”, as I am using them to set up the sorting of the images)
Edit (Sunday Evening): There are alot of pics in the various Scotland albums now - they were just quickly sorted and no ‘fixing’ (i.e. light balance, etc) was done to them yet.

Seems the site has been up & down today. I have about 10 sites all on the same host and 4 were up and working and 6 were down, yet they all share the same server and space. Weird.

Rodeo’s in town.
Also testing LiveJournal crossposting - I made a LiveJournal page to mirror Uebey.net and gain additional exposure. Any post made here will also automatically appear there.
I do not plan on putting anything just on LJ and not here, except the occasional info that would help with search engine ratings and stuff (i.e. no important content). In case you are interested, the LJ page is http://shoothouston.livejournal.com/

Installed a Gallery. Not the best or most intuitive to set up, but I’m trying to tweak it so it is.
Right now here’s the first “album” of some random shots and art I’ve done: Experiment Album

I just uploaded new blogging software (actually a new version of the previous software), and am going through the process of some hacks for it, some plugins, and alot of behind the scenes crap.
So what the heck does this mean to you?
For the web savvy - I upgraded Wordpress from 1.5.2 to 2.04, and am trying to set it up with conveniant menu options for multiple static pages and image albums.

Did some updates to the site this morning - mainly got rid of bad menus on some of the versions you can choose.
Here’s another trivia/fact/link for today:
You know that the government confiscates knives, scissors, screwdrivers, etc when you are at the airport. Ever wonder what they do with them?
They sell them on ebay!
Here’s the link to the NTSA’s auctions (some of the prices are great!): NTSA on Ebay

The ongoing tweaks and works continues.
Now on the site you’ll see an area/menu called “Themes” or “Switch the Look”. From there you can pick how you want the site to look. I am still tweaking those and changing header images, etc. Also I’ll be adding some and taking some away as time goes by.
Images from Italy added on some of the themes (Amsterdam, Desert & Jakarta)

I’m testing and learning a new way of putting pictures online.
Here’s the first mini-album, basically a repost of the Italy- Pont De Angelo pics:
Second mini-album, pictures from Ely, UK in 2003:

As you can see, the blog/site has a new format and is coming together.
With the new software and setup, I have the site arranged with about 6 different “looks”, which I will switch between occassionally to keep everyone from getting bored.
I’m organizing things and still tweaking a bit here and there. (adding pages, etc).
Also, this site might not look right on some older browsers (mainly older versions of Internet Explorer from 2000 or earlier). But that’s the way progress is. I am mostly (95% in my personal use, and about 40% in my business use) using Firefox now (free from Mozilla). It’s better than IE when it comes to viruses, spyware, security, and ease of use (tabbed browsing is the best!).

I updated the blog software and am doing some other things behind the scenes to hopefully kill the spammer.
I’ll update the layout of this blog in the near future to something less generic and more pleasing to the eye.
